Basic Structure Complete

Here is a quick animation of a completion stage I am at.  I finished the main structural elements and now I am starting the modeling on the covering elements on the exterior and interior.  The structure was difficult to devise because the geometry seemed simple but it was much harder to make it blend well when real beams were put in place.  Some of the structure will be visible as is, and some will be covered with glass, kalwall, stained glass, etc.   Refer to the concept drawing for design intent.  I will probably be updating this post with still shots as well so be sure to check back.

 

Here are a few quick renders of the structure. There are some inconsistencies to correct, and you might notice that longitudinal sides are a little different. This was to see how different approaches worked, and which looked better.
